Our Makerspace is continuing to evolve. The learning that is taking place by staff and students has been second to none. I have seen weaving on looms, beading, making of healing blankets, programming and coding of robots and spheros, building with lego and wooden contraptions, creating of electrical circuits with Makey Makey boards and bananas, skyping with cartoonists, chefs and other community partners, and collaboration and problem-solving across the areas. It has truly been a remarkable beginning. We continue to look for parents, grandparents and community partners who would like to come and share their passions, expertise and talents with us. We can all learn from each other. Who knows, maybe we have the next Dragon’s Den selected entrepreneur in our midst!
